Federal Job Alerts and USA Job Openings provide access to public federal job announcement information sourced from the official USAJOBS API operated by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM). The official source website is USAJOBS.gov, and API information is available at developer.usajobs.gov.

Federal Job Alerts and USA Job Openings are not operated, sponsored, approved, or endorsed by OPM, USAJOBS, or any U.S. government agency. Users are directed to the official USAJOBS.gov announcement or agency application page to view official details and apply.

Information We Collect

We collect only information needed to operate app features:

• Saved job and saved search preferences.
• Device push notification token, platform, and device identifier generated by the app for job alerts.
• Optional job preference profile fields such as keywords, preferred title, location, salary, grade, and remote preference.
• Basic technical information from server logs, such as request time, IP address, user agent, and error logs.

We do not ask users to upload resumes or CVs. We do not collect USAJOBS account usernames or passwords. We do not submit job applications on behalf of users.

How We Use Information

• To show federal job listings and job details.
• To save searches and jobs selected by the user.
• To send push notifications for matching job alerts.
• To improve reliability, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and operate the backend service.
• To display advertising and measure ad performance where ads are enabled.

Third-Party Services

The app and website may use third-party services that process data under their own policies:

• USAJOBS API for public federal job announcement data.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications.
• Google AdMob for advertising.
• Hosting, database, and infrastructure providers used to operate the backend and website.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited data with service providers only as needed to operate notifications, advertising, hosting, analytics, security, or support. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the service, users, or others.

Data Retention and Deletion

Saved searches, alert preferences, and device notification records are retained while needed to provide app functionality. Users may delete saved jobs or searches in the app. To request deletion of backend alert/device data, contact us at [email protected].

Children

The service is intended for job seekers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No internet service can guarantee complete security.
